DEBORAH
MARTIN AND CHERYL GALLAGHER
Tibet
Spotted Peccary (2004)
This is exactly what I needed during this hot, busy
time of year. This CD eased me out the stress of everyday life
and put me into a relaxing mood. I think anything that can do
that is important.
TIBET is a majestic album inspired by Deborah Martin and Cheryl
Gallagher’s journey to Tibet and Nepal. The music is serene
but not in a light way. Deep bass, accented by powerful sounds,
mesh together to create a huge sound. All location recordings
of Sherpa, Tibetan monks and nuns where actually recorded throughout
Tibet and Nepal.
The album runs just over fifty-six minutes and is broken up
into 8 songs that will bring you peace. The song titles alone
should give you an idea of their stately nature; "Palace",
"Glacier", "Morning in Tibet", "Essence",
"Seeker and Sought", "Leaving Shigatse",
Eklabti" and "Procession."
